Steens Mountain
Steens mountain is in SE Oregon and consists of a 30 mile long uplifted fault block with a mile high vertical east face. A storm hit the area as we drove the loop road and we considered ourselves fortunate to not be hit by lightning before we got off the peak. Nearby lightning strikes started fires near the summit.
