The summit of Cowtrack Mountain isn't going to be featured in
the American Alpine Journal as one of the world's most
significant climbs but it is a Mono Peak, has no crowd, and
doesn't need a permit. I nearly stepped on a small rattlesnake
while approaching the summit so keep your eyes on the ground
while walking in Mono County.
