Located 15 air miles NW of Mesquite and 80 air miles NE of Las Vegas, Davidson Peak is the highpoint of the Mormon Mt. Range at 5,324'. Andy Zdon's "Desert Summits" is the guidebook for all southern and western Nevada peaks. Due to washed out roads I recommend disregarding Zdon's approach instructions and just driving north on the main dirt road 3.5 miles north of exit 100 on #15. We parked on the west side of Davidson Pk. and scrambled up the west face.
SW to Moapa Peak and the approach road.
West to Mormon Peak.
Hanapepe ascends Davidson via the North Ridge.
