Now how can a person retreat only a hundred feet from the ridgeline? Easy.
In remote unpopular areas like this it is my responsibility to avoid problems
and if a rescue is needed it will be self-rescue or die. Spoiled by the easy
peaks in the Bighorns, we started this climb at noon, reached turnaround time,
and headed down, happy to get back to the truck before it got dark.
