Grays Peak 14,270'
Grays Peak is the highest
peak on the
continental divide between Canada and
Mexico. It is considered one of the easiest
fourteeners with a 3000' elevation gain
and 8 mile round trip distance. "Colorado
Fourteeners" by Gerry Roach was our
guidebook for this state. National Forest
maps and "Trails Illustrated" topo maps
filled the map requirements. But how
did the pioneers do it?
