Our attempt on Crazy Woman Mt. failed, via the northern plateau, because it was necessary to park and walk through a forest on a compass bearing. That isn't too bad for a big target like a mountain, but finding the truck on the way back, on a compass bearing, seemed unlikely.

Is this or is this not reasonably fresh bear poop out in the wilderness?  We decided that it was and retreated to the truck, abandoning our attempt on Hesse Mt.
